 Welcome to the Nephrotic Syndrome Support Forum provided by Kids Kidney Research.  If you've found yourself here the likelihood is that you are either a newly diagnosed patient, or know someone newly diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome.  The support group aims to be an active, friendly and positive group, and we invite everyone with an interest in Nephrotic Syndrome to participate.

The Nephrotic Syndrome Support Group is a moderated peer support group -  a peer support group is one in which the participants and the moderators are also patients, parents of patients or affected individuals as opposed to health professionals.  Moderated simply means that each message is vetted for suitability before being posted on the site.  We understand the need for information and aim to provide first-hand experience for the newly diagnosed and long term support for those dealing with chronic renal disease.

While we conduct most of our activity in the support group, the "What is Nephrotic Syndrome?" resource serves as a starting point for the support group.  Many of your questions about Nephrotic Syndrome can be answered by reading through these FAQS.  The FAQS attempts to answer most of the questions that come up frequently on the support group and will be added to as the forum develops.  This helps the moderators and the members concentrate as much as possible on providing actual support.
