Tom looked perfectly healthy, till a routine blood pressure test revealed that his blood pressure was so high he could have had a stroke at any moment.  After being rushed to Great Ormond Street Hospital, his parents were told that he had vesicoureteric reflux, and as a result of scarring, he had only 30% kidney functon.
