Kids Kidney Research

Alison Squires runs the Paris Marathon for Kids Kidney Research

Alison Squires says she doesn't like running and isn't very good at it.  We have trouble believing her, because last weekend she not only completed her second marathon, this time in Paris, she also improved on her time and raised valuable funds for Kids Kidney Research on both occasions.

So, why start running marathons and why raise money for Kids Kidney Research?  Alison wanted to prove to herself that she could run a marathon, even though she felt that she wasn't a very good runner.  Last September, she completed the Berlin Marathon and was hooked, which is why she decided to run in the Paris Marathon last weekend.   Plus, she told us, as a town planner, she likes to admire all the buildings as she runs!

Alison decided to raise funds for Kids Kidney Research when her best friend's younger brother died of kidney failure last year.  Alison saw at first hand the devastation and impact that kidney disease has on families and wanted to do something to help.

From all of us at Kids Kidney Research, Thank you Alison!
