Kids Kidney Research

Brewood and District Inner Wheel have raised an amazing £1000 for Kids Kidney Research over the last year.  The Inner Wheel is the organisation for female relatives of Rotarians and like the Rotarians, they have the aims of having fun, encouraging fellowship and fund raising for charities.

This year, Brewood and Dsitrict Inner Wheel chose to support 2 charities, County Air Ambulance and Kids Kidney Research.  There were 3 main fund raising events - a table top sale, a Christmas flower arranging occasion with Janine Hall and a contemporary folk singing evening with Harvey Andrews.

Shirley Plowright, Chair of the Inner Wheel, explained why she chose to support Kids Kidney Research:

"My grandson has kidney damage as a result of HSP. This began in April 2006.  He is now going to school again most days. I chose Kids Kidney Research as I hope this research will help children like Joel with kidneys that are not fully functional."
