2009 London Marathon Kids Kidney Research has 11 runners in the 2009 London Marathon and are very grateful to all of them for making such a big commitment on our behalf. In no particular order, the runners are Samantha Clark Warren Keen James Kirk Gordon Milne Siobhan Edwards Dorothy Wakefield Jason Thomas Nick Trompeter Shaun Smith Susan Pittson Michelle West Victoria Roberts Everyone has very personal reasons for running for Kids Kidney Research. Samantha Clark has suffered from IgAN since she was 16 years old. Samantha finds running helps her control both the disease and her blood pressure. Jason Thomas' good friend had a kidney transplant a few years ago, which has prompted him to run on our behalf. Shaun Smith's son Alfie was born with a blocked left kidney, which was removed just before his second birthday. Gordon Milne, Siobhan Edwards and Dorothy Wakefield all work for the Alpha Plus Group, who are sponsoring Kids Kidney Research this year. Both Dorothy and Gordon have run marathons before, but this is Siobhan's first marathon. Find out how the Alpha Plus Group are supporting Kids Kidney Research by clicking here. Kids Kidney Research is very fortunate to have so many runners this year. Thank you to all of you for your commitment, dedication and enthusiasm! |
