Cardgains, the largest greeting card and gift buying group for the independant retailer in the UK, is a trading divison of Bridewell UK Ltd. Cardgains strives to assist members by focussing on areas where they can make a point of difference, including greeting cards, gifting and customer service. Cardgains also aims to encourage members by showing the benefits of the negotiated trading terms from within the supplier portfolio and how to use them to optimum potential. Kids Kidney Research would like to thank everyone at Cardgains for raising an impressive GBP20,000 throughout the year. Congratulations to all of you for raising such valuable funds for research into kidney disease in babies and children.

Cardgains Charity Challenge in June consisted of three walks of varying difficulty along the Cumbria Way. Twenty brave walkers set off at 1.30am for the 47-mile challenge The summer weather was nowhere to be seen and most of the walk was in light, heavy or torrential rain! The 12-strong support team worked tirelessly meeting, greeting, feeding and even massaging everyone through the 19-hour event.

Almost everyone achieved their own personal walk objectives, which resulted in some serious smiles and cheesy grins at the evening celebration dinner. Thanks to your amazing efforts, over GBP15,000 was raised for Kids Kidney Research.

Cardgains Golf Day saw twenty teams compete for a glittering array of prizes. In addition there was a raffle and prizes for nearest to the pin, hole-in-one and the longest drive. This great day out raised a fantastic GBP3,000 for Kids Kidney Research - thank you to all the teams and sponsors.

Kids Kidney Research would like to thank all at Cardgains for all their fundraising activities during the year. An amazing amount of effort and enthusiasm has gone in to organising these events and we are extremely grateful.
