2009 London Marathon
Gordon Milne, Siobhan Edwards and Dorothy Wakefield, who all work for the Alpha Plus Group, are running in the 2009 Flora London Marathon for Kids Kidney Research. Both Dorothy and Gordon have run marathons before, but this is Siobhan's first marathon. Please click here to visit their Justgiving fundraising page. Kids Kidney Research is delighted to announce that the Alpha Plus Group, which was founded in 1931 and comprises twenty independent schools and colleges, is hosting a charity music concert on 16 October at Westminster Central Hall in London in aid of Kids Kidney Research. Over 400 children will take part in the concert, which provides a wonderful opportunity for schools within the Alpha Plus Group to work together.
Nick Clegg supports Alpha Plus Musicworld Concert
Nick Clegg, Leader of the Liberal Democrats, has sent a letter of support for the Alpha Plus Musicworld concert on Thursday 16th October in aid of Kids Kidney Research. Nick applauds the fact that young people at Alpha Plus schools are supporting Kids Kidney Research, " a very worthy cause". Nick continues " This charity is doing great work, funding vital research into kidney disease and the devastating effects it can have. I am certain that your evening will be a great success."
